A number of days before his impending inauguration as Nigeria’s President, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has embarked upon an international journey away from the nation of Nigeria to the European continent on an official working trip.
According to his media aide Tunde Rahman, Tinubu departed Nigeria through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, on Wednesday afternoon.
The incoming president departed Nigeria in order to conduct meetings and discussions with foreign leaders and dignitaries relevant to his upcoming presidency; the matters of governance he shall inherit once the transfer of power formally occurs.
According to him, the trip aims to lay the groundwork for Tinubu’s presidency through establishing connections, fostering partnerships, and obtaining counsel from experienced foreign heads of government throughout Europe during this preparatory excursion abroad.
Upon his return to the Nigerian capital of Abuja in the coming days, Tinubu is set to be sworn into the presidency and deliver his inaugural address, outlining his vision and priorities for navigating the many issues and opportunities the nation will face under his leadership for the next four years.
