Nigerians sign petition for Simon Ekpa’s arrest over 5 Days Sit at Home order

Attention of Finnish Government, Nigerian Government and European Union have been called against Simon Ekpa, following the five-day sit-at-home order in South-east Nigeria, which led to deaths of many residents.

Aggrieved Nigerians has signed a petition appealing for his arrest as Ekpa, a self-acclaimed disciple of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, is alleged the brain behind the sit at home order.

Although IPOB, through its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, denied ever issuing any sit-at-home order on the five days from 9-14th December , 2022 , violence had continued to reign in the region.

Over 3,000 people has currently signed the petition and still being circulated.

In a separate event, Ekpa officially ended the five-day sit-at-home order in the South-East region of Nigeria through a video posted on YouTube on Wednesday night, which he termed “historic and successful” for Biafraland.

The video caption however wrote that 2023 elections will not hold in the South-East region. He also wrote that “ending Nigeria” is a task that must be done by 2023.
